About the Role

As the Operator at Signature Millwork, you will serve as the day-to-day leader of the business — responsible for production performance, operational efficiency, financial outcomes, and team development.

This role sits at the center of the company’s success and is ideal for a driven, accountable leader who knows how to run a shop, manage people, and own the P&L with confidence.

You’ll collaborate closely with Kyros leadership to modernize systems, improve processes, and scale Signature Millwork into a high-performing, next-generation operation.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full P&L — including labor, production costs, margins, and operational performance

  • Oversee all daily operations: production, scheduling, quality control, and workflow management

  • Lead and mentor the shop team, fostering accountability, safety, and craftsmanship

  • Establish and improve production processes that increase speed, accuracy, and profitability

  • Coordinate with project managers to ensure on-time delivery and resolve issues proactively

  • Track operational metrics and report weekly performance to Kyros leadership

  • Maintain equipment, ensure efficient use of materials, and reduce waste

  • Implement new systems, technology, and standards that modernize the shop

  • Support hiring and staffing needs as the business scales

  • Champion a positive culture rooted in communication, safety, and professional growth

Requirements

  • 5–10+ years in architectural millwork, custom fabrication, or manufacturing leadership

  • Proven experience owning or influencing P&L or operational budgets

  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to coach, motivate, and hold teams accountable

  • Deep understanding of production processes, shop equipment, and millwork workflows

  • Ability to read shop drawings, interpret technical information, and communicate with field/PM teams

  • Excellent organizational, decision-making, and communication skills

  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

  • High school diploma required; trade school or technical training is a plus

Nice to Have

  • Experience implementing lean manufacturing or other process-improvement methodologies

  • Comfort with operational software, scheduling tools, or digital production management

  • Experience working in a fast-growing or scaling environment

  • Ability to develop KPIs and performance dashboards

What We Offer

  • A leadership position with real ownership and influence inside a growing modernized company

  • Direct access to Kyros leadership, with mentorship and operational support

  • Competitive compensation with potential for performance-based incentives

  • Ability to shape the future of a legacy millwork shop as it modernizes and scales

  • Stable pipeline of large commercial projects and long-term customers
