About the Role
As the Operator at Signature Millwork, you will serve as the day-to-day leader of the business — responsible for production performance, operational efficiency, financial outcomes, and team development.
This role sits at the center of the company’s success and is ideal for a driven, accountable leader who knows how to run a shop, manage people, and own the P&L with confidence.
You’ll collaborate closely with Kyros leadership to modernize systems, improve processes, and scale Signature Millwork into a high-performing, next-generation operation.
Responsibilities
Own the full P&L — including labor, production costs, margins, and operational performance
Oversee all daily operations: production, scheduling, quality control, and workflow management
Lead and mentor the shop team, fostering accountability, safety, and craftsmanship
Establish and improve production processes that increase speed, accuracy, and profitability
Coordinate with project managers to ensure on-time delivery and resolve issues proactively
Track operational metrics and report weekly performance to Kyros leadership
Maintain equipment, ensure efficient use of materials, and reduce waste
Implement new systems, technology, and standards that modernize the shop
Support hiring and staffing needs as the business scales
Champion a positive culture rooted in communication, safety, and professional growth
Requirements
5–10+ years in architectural millwork, custom fabrication, or manufacturing leadership
Proven experience owning or influencing P&L or operational budgets
Strong leadership presence with the ability to coach, motivate, and hold teams accountable
Deep understanding of production processes, shop equipment, and millwork workflows
Ability to read shop drawings, interpret technical information, and communicate with field/PM teams
Excellent organizational, decision-making, and communication skills
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
High school diploma required; trade school or technical training is a plus
Nice to Have
Experience implementing lean manufacturing or other process-improvement methodologies
Comfort with operational software, scheduling tools, or digital production management
Experience working in a fast-growing or scaling environment
Ability to develop KPIs and performance dashboards
