About the Role
As a Junior Estimator at Signature Millwork, you will support our estimating and project delivery teams by preparing takeoffs, reviewing plans, and helping generate accurate bids for commercial millwork projects.
This role is perfect for detail-oriented candidates early in their career who want to learn the millwork industry, grow their technical skillset, and contribute directly to winning high-value work.
Responsibilities
Review architectural drawings, specifications, and blueprints for upcoming projects
Assist in preparing detailed takeoffs for materials, labor, and fabrication requirements
Support senior estimators in developing pricing, quantity breakdowns, and bid proposals
Coordinate with project managers and shop leadership to confirm production capabilities
Help maintain historical cost data, vendor pricing, and estimating templates
Prepare and organize bid packages for timely submission
Work with the team to track awarded projects and hand off accurate information to production
Requirements
1–3 years of experience in estimating, construction, fabrications, or a related field (internships accepted)
Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings
Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
Proficiency in Excel; basic understanding of estimating software is a plus
High school diploma required; an associate or bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering, or a related field is preferred
Nice to Have
Experience with millwork, cabinetry, or specialty fabrication
Familiarity with project management workflows
Hands-on shop or field experience
Knowledge of CAD tools or digital takeoff programs
